Sharjah Social Security Fund Introduces Instagram Account For Strong Communication With Society


To promote its significant role & respond to public queries










The Sharjah Social Security Fund has launched its own official "Instagram" account with the hashtag "sssfshj" with a view to promoting the culture of social insurance and cohesion and ensuring effective engagement and communication with various segments of society.

The social media platform identifies the significant role played by the Fund in serving the local community of Sharjah, providing an interactive communication tool to respond to public queries, regarding the social security system in the emirate.

The Sharjah Social Security Fund started functioning in mid-2018, following the issuance of Law No. 9 of 2017 to achieve several objectives, including raising the standard of living for families and the people of Sharjah.
The fund also seeks to provide regular and stable income for retirees to achieve their basic requirements, providing continuity between current and future generations. It aims at creating professional stability and strengthening the relationship between the employee and his job and ensures the quality of services provided to beneficiaries.

A number of themed workshops and conferences, which were organised to promote the importance of the Fund and the major role it’s set to play for employee, and organisations alike, were well received by government departments and institutions concerned and resulted in the registration of over 100 employers in the fund, including about 11,000 employees under the Sharjah Social Security umbrella.

Mohammed Obaid Al Shamsi, Director General of the Sharjah Social Security Fund, expressed his appreciation for the vision and guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and his unwavering support for the citizens and families of the Emirate of Sharjah.
He noted that the Fund’s official Instagram account is a new step among others taken by the Fund to ensure direct communication with the public, through which they can communicate with the Fund's team to answer their needs and respond to their queries, in addition to the already available e-mail: Info@sssf.shj.ae.

Al Shamsi added that the Fund provides a well-qualified team to “respond to all relevant queries with the required accuracy and speed and in a manner that meets the public's expectations for everything related to the role and importance of the Fund's work, laws and rules relevant to the social security system, registration mechanisms and fund’s benefits.”

The team will also respond to corporate issues regarding the framework of the employee-employer relationship in a manner that achieves job stability for all parties concerned, he added.

The Director General stressed that the law establishing the fund is considered “the best in terms of inclusion and cohesiveness by extending the umbrella that guarantees a dignified living for all citizens of the emirate working in the Government of Sharjah, in addition to the children of UAE female nationals from the Emirate of Sharjah.”
Under the law, the employee, covered by the Sharjah Social Security Fund, is an Emirati working in a government entity, holding the UAE nationality, or a son/daughter of Emirati women insured by the fund.
