Dubai Sports Sector Is Gaining Momentum

As Dubai continues getting ready for a busy sports calendar this year, it’s evident that the city’s sports sector is experiencing tremendous momentum. While welcoming delegates at the international sports conference last month, the chairman of the Dubai sports council and the Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed said the growing number of events reflects the attention paid to the sports sector.

According to Hamdan, community-based sports events created to cater to all categories and ages will make Dubai the world’s most active city. Sheikh Hamdan was speaking at the 14th edition of the International Sports Conference in Dubai, themed “Future Football Accelerators”. The event was hosted at Madinat Jumeirah Conference Centre on December 28, 2019, attracting prominent football coaches, legendary players, club managers and other decision-makers.

Like the Party Poker Bonus Code welcomes punters with amazing prizes, Sheikh welcomed the participants to the city hoping to yield positive results on the future of sports. According to him, the conference discussions were aimed at looking for recommendations that may assist in conceptualizing a brighter future for football and sports in general.

Since the first Internal sports conference was rolled out by the Dubai Sports Council, Sheikh Hamdan and his associates have been trying to promote sports and football in particular. The event gathers the most successful clubs, federations, coaches and prominent athletes in one roof as they share success stories and personal experiences. The event was inspired by the need to offer sports professionals the chance to learn about the best international practices and cooperate closely with their peers.

This year, the Dubai sports city has already announced a busy calendar for 2020, with programs catering for all age groups, starting from kids to adults. As such, the city aims to promote sports programs that will give people an active and fun-filled experience. That will go a long way in fueling their already burgeoning sports economy, which currently exceeds $1.7 billion U.S a year.

Dubai is also expected to unveil the largest sports mall in the globe in 20202, occupying a total area of about 12 international football pitches. The mall is expected to open in the First Quarter of the year, located near Deira City Centre.

According to the project developer Viva City, the Sports Society will become a vital destination for Dubai’s annual fitness challenge suggested by Sheikh Hamdan. The challenge’s main aim will be encouraging the city visitors and residents to exercise for 30 minutes daily in 30 days, making Dubai the most active city worldwide.
