“At SEHA, our number one goal is delivering the highest quality of patient care for the community. In line with this mission, Al Rahba hospital is undergoing a renovation and facility upgrade. While this process is underway, accessing emergency and urgent care for patients has changed. Al Rahba Emergency Department will be temporarily closed, and for medical emergencies such as severe chest pain, loss of consciousness or serious injury needing immediate attention, patients will need to go to the nearest alternative facility. This will be Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City or NMC Royal, which are open 24 hours a day. Patients seeking Urgent Care, such as a minor illness or injury, strains and sprains, minor cuts, bites or rashes will need to visit SEHA’s Al Bahia Healthcare Center, which is open from 6am until midnight. We apologize for any inconvenience caused but are confident that the alternative facilities will offer the same high standards of care you expect from SEHA. All services will also be available through patients’ existing insurance.” |
