Alghadeer show homes now open to the public

Aldar Properties PJSC ('Aldar') has provided its latest quarterly update on projects under development across its key destinations in Abu Dhabi.

Some of those include Yas Acres, Aldar's flagship golf and waterfront villa and townhouse development on the northern shores of Yas Island, where construction of 652 villas and townhouses has reached its final stages. Planned phased handovers are set to commence at the end of this quarter.

Other projects underway on Yas Island include Lea, which was first launched in April 2019 and features 238 plots directly to the north of Yas Acres. At the end of 2019, Aldar awarded the contract to Hilalco with a mandate that encompasses the design and build of Lea's infrastructure, such as its roads and utilities. Hilalco is also undertaking landscaping works associated with the public realm and parks. Lea has proven to be one of Aldar's most popular locations and sold out during Cityscape Abu Dhabi last year, generating over AED 400 million in sales.

In addition, the first phase of The Bridges on Reem Island is also nearing completion with handover to customers expected to begin in early Q2. The whole project is a six building, 1,272 home development, which is split by a canal on the island is located next to the capital's newest urban park. The first phase consists of three buildings containing 636 apartments.

Maan Al Awlaqi, Executive Director – Commercial at Aldar Properties: "We are starting off the year strong with a number of projects nearing completion and handover in some of Abu Dhabi's most sought after locations. Yas Acres and The Bridges promise their residents an unrivalled living experience within their respective destinations, surrounded by abundant amenities for which Aldar is known. We are also pressing ahead on the various developments in our pipeline and look forward to delivering more homes across the capital in the coming period."

At other sites such as Alghadeer, show homes are now open to the public, with the development of a sustainability-focused masterplan now entering its second phase. The sewer and storm networks are substantially complete, while the gas network pipeline is more than halfway complete. Alghadeer is situated close to the border of Abu Dhabi and Dubai to cater to both workforces.

At Water's Edge, structural works across all buildings are making good progress on the development on the island's eastern shores. The development consists of 13 mid-rise residential blocks and is comprised of studios, one, two and three-bedroom apartments. The development will feature a waterfront promenade with numerous dining and retail options, private courtyards with spacious landscaped areas, pools, multi-purpose courts and a mosque.

On Reem Island, construction of the Reflection development is continuing to move at a good pace on both Towers A and B. Reflection is a 374-apartment development split across two towers. Structural work is making progress as both towers are now above ground level. Waterproofing and backfilling is underway and tower cranes are in place in order to advance the next stage of construction.

Finally, work at Alreeman, which is located near Abu Dhabi International Airport, is continuing ahead of schedule with road excavation, storm water excavation and pipe laying all making good progress. With 6,452m of pipes laid to date, sewerage excavation, pipe laying and manhole installation is well advanced. The mixed-use development offers residential and commercial land plots which have been available for purchase by all nationalities and has attracted large interest since its launch.
