Mubadala Announces Sponsorship Of The FIFA Club World Cup And UAE National Football Teams


Mubadala will support UAE Football and the development of the nation’s youth










Mubadala Development Company (Mubadala) today announced two significant new sponsorships in football. Mubadala is now the Official National Supporter of the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2009 and 2010, and Official National Sponsor of all UAE Football Association’s (UAEFA) national teams.

In line with Mubadala’s mission to facilitate the growth and development of Abu Dhabi’s community and economy, Mubadala’s investment in football will extend beyond its sponsorships to deliver long-term tangible benefits for the sport and the wider UAE community. This includes the development of world-class stadium facilities, the support of youth development programs to help shape the nation‘s future leaders and facilitating widespread involvement in football.

Mubadala’s sponsorship of the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2009 and 2010 reflects its commitment to working alongside world-class organizations to create long-term opportunities for Abu Dhabi and the UAE. Mubadala will work with the Local Organizing Committee of the FIFA Club World Cup to undertake a series of community-focused activities, ensuring widespread involvement in the event.

Mubadala’s refurbishment of the Zayed Stadium will deliver world-class facilities for international teams and media at the FIFA Club World Cup and a lasting legacy for the UAE.

UAEFA
As the official sponsor of the UAEFA’s national teams and youth development program, Mubadala will work closely with the UAEFA to increase participation in football across the country. Through football, younger generations will learn important team and leadership skills essential for professional and personal development.

In line with Mubadala’s investment philosophy, the company will work alongside the UAEFA to share knowledge and insights that will benefit the long-term operations of both organizations. Mubadala will support the development of UAEFA business operations and the UAEFA will bring leading sports experience to the business world via a series of ‘learn from the experts’ sessions covering a range of topics including team building and motivation.

Mubadala’s sponsorship of the FIFA Club World Cup encompasses both the 2009 and 2010 tournament. Its sponsorship of the UAEFA national teams will run for four years.
