Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort Receives 65,000 Visitors During The Eid Break

Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort (AWPR) recorded impressive visitor numbers over the Eid period, with 65,000 people choosing to spend their day at the park during the holiday.

“The residents of Al Ain visit the wildlife park to help celebrate Eid. We are thrilled to be an integral part of the cultural fabric of Al Ain”, said His Excellency Majid Al-Mansouri, Managing Director of AWPR.

Attendance during Ramadan was also high, with the park seeing an almost 200% increase in visitors when compared to previous years. For the first time in AWPR’s forty-year history, the park opened its gates to the public from 9pm until 2am every night during the holy month. Visitors enjoyed a range of family-friendly activities, including live animal feedings and the traditional bird show.

Commenting on the attendance figures during Ramadan and Eid, His Excellency Majid Al-Mansouri, Managing Director of AWPR said: “We are extremely pleased with the attendance figures this year, which further demonstrates the park’s popularity. Once again, AWPR has proven itself to be one of the top tourist destinations in the UAE.”

The park now returns to normal operating hours and will be open from 10am to 7pm until April 30th 2010.
