Royal Jet Wins Global Accolade For Third Year In A Row

For the third time in as many years, Royal Jet - the Abu Dhabi-headquartered international luxury executive flight services company – has won the coveted World Travel Award for the World’s Leading Private Jet Charter.

Royal Jet’s President and CEO Shane O’Hare received the award from the WTA’s President Graham Cooke in a ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London attended by senior management and guests from Royal Jet and a strong entourage from Abu Dhabi - as at the same time top honours were also given to Etihad Airways and Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority.

The World Travel Awards are regarded as the travel industry’s equivalent of the ’Oscars’. The winners in each category are decided by votes received from agents and travel professionals across the world, reflecting a firm approval by the industry itself.

“Once again I am delighted to be here to receive this award,” said O’Hare to those assembled. “It is, yet again, a clear indication of the high regard that Royal Jet has amongst its industry peers and is a clear endorsement of the hard work of all our staff and of the vision and leadership of our chairman, H.E. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nayhan.

“Our award for World’s Leading Private Jet Charter reaffirms Royal Jet’s stature as a globally recognised brand. And although it has been a difficult year for business, this award amply demonstrates for the third time that our business plan works. I am delighted to say that Royal Jet has witnessed a major increase in charter bookings; our new brokerage service hit its year-end targets within the first nine months of this year; our recently implemented alliance with ARABASCO in Saudi Arabia has resulted in an increase of over 40 per cent in profits generated within the Kingdom; the introduction of the first ever personal in-flight chef service has been a resounding success with our guests; and the delivery in a few weeks time of the world’s most advanced interior with our newly refurbished BBJ [Boeing Business Jet], which will be further testament to our global leadership,” he said.

“We have now been in business for over six years; and as this award clearly shows, Royal Jet continues to set the benchmark for the global private jet industry in terms of security, safety and – not least – for exceptional service.

Our meticulous attention to detail in all these areas continues to pay off. Our business has remained profitable even during the global economic downturn and we have seen growth in our business of around 30 per cent. We know that we are in a class of our own - the world’s first and only luxury private jet brand – but this will not stop us continually raising the bar and attempting to beat our already very high standards. Expect Royal Jet to unveil even more innovations in the coming year,” O’Hare concluded.
