Mohammed Bin Zayed Lays Foundation Stone For STRATA Aero Structures Manufacturing Facility |

His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has laid the foundation stone for STRATA, Mubadala Development Company’s advanced composites aero structures manufacturing facility. Having viewed the facility construction and equipping plan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi expressed his great pleasure at the bases and targets of the project, stating that the UAE will, under the leadership of His Highness President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, persevere in its efforts to establish and develop the aerospace industry in the UAE, thus making the country a global hub in this vital field. Sheikh Mohammed stressed that this advanced industry received full support because it lays the foundation for a national knowledge-based economy, uses the latest global technology tools, helps qualify and develop our human resources and bring them to the international standard, creates excellent job opportunities for UAE nationals, and opens the door for a wider coordination with technical institutes, colleges and universities in the UAE so as to introduce aerospace science and engineering subjects into their curricula and allow our national workforce to acquire the skills and expertise necessary to become an effective part of this vital sector. The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi indicated that STRATA was a major milestone for the UAE in its aspirations to establish a pioneering basis for the aerospace industry in the country. |
