The Sharjah Nabati Poetry Festival Concludes Its Activities With A Poetry Evening In The City Of Kalba |

Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler in the city of Khor Fakkan, and Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler in the city of Kalba, witnessed, yesterday evening, the closing evening of the activities of the Sharjah Nabati Poetry Festival in its eighth session. Ten, at the Cultural Center in the city of Kalba, in the presence of His Excellency Matar Ali bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, President of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, the poet Butti Al Mazloum, Director of the Al Heera Literary Council in Sharjah, and a number of directors of government departments and institutions in the Eastern Region, poets and guests of the festival. Participating in the closing evening, which was moderated by journalist Talal Al-Buhairi, from Kuwait, were Mohammed Sorour Al-Shamsi, Sultan Al-Rafisa, from the Emirates, Rakad Al-Shammari, from Iraq, the poet Alaa Ahmero, from Jordan, Salah Mutrif Al-Anazi, from Kuwait, and Amer Al-Aydhi, from Saudi Arabia. And the poet Shahad Al-Khuzai, from Iraq. The evening began with Emirati folk songs, performances and dances presented by the "Al-Showin Al-Harbiyah" band, led by the poet Ali Al-Showin. The closing evening was opened with the poet Muhammad Sorour Al Shamsi reading a poem entitled “The Sultan of Literature,” while the poet Sultan Al Rafisa presented many patriotic, social and emotional poems, and the Jordanian poet Alaa Ahmeru recited a poem in praise of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah entitled “The Sultan of Hearts” and social poems. And other emotional. In turn, the Iraqi poet Rakad Al-Shammari presented romantic and sentimental poems, while the Kuwaiti poet Salah Mutrif Al-Anazi delivered verses praising and welcoming Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al-Qasimi, Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al-Qasimi, and the audience, in addition to presenting sentimental and flirtatious poems. The Iraqi poet Shahad Al-Khuzai read a group of sentimental, patriotic and social poems, followed by the Saudi poet Amer Al-Aydi, who presented verses in praise of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and a social and sentimental poem. At the end of the evening, Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi and Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi honored the poets, media figures, and participants in making the festival activities a success, which lasted for seven days, and its evenings were distributed in more than one place in the Emirate of Sharjah, starting from the Palace of Culture and passing through Al Dhaid and Kalba. |
