Two Emiratis To Highlight Innovation Practices From The UAE At The Abu Dhabi Innovation Forum 2010











Abu Dhabi, UAE. – 26th December 2009 – The first Abu Dhabi Innovation Forum 2010, scheduled to take place on  January 11th and 12th, 2010, and will be  held Under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, introduces two Emirati innovators to join the panel of keynote speakers.

The Abu Dhabi Innovation Forum, presented by the Abu Dhabi University and Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, is an event made specifically for local businesses and associations, academic and government heads from all sectors responsible for building a culture of innovation. Sponsored by Al Hilal Bank, the forum reflects the objectives of the Abu Dhabi 2030 Economic Vision and the mission of Khalifa Fund. 

Omran Al Hallami, Chairman of Al Hallami Group, and Ali Alsaloom, one of the fastest rising media stars and public speakers in the Gulf, will headline the Abu Dhabi Innovation Forum. Both will tackle various issues on bringing innovation to Abu Dhabi and the UAE, which will allow the country to be regarded as one of the best five governments in the world.

“Innovation is becoming increasingly essential in organisations and companies across the world. This forum hopes to seek the best practices from our worldwide leading innovators which will allow the country to be regarded as one of the world’s best five governments. A passionate inventor, who has several patented innovations inside the UAE and internationally, Al Hallami will tackle ‘Innovation in Action in the UAE’ and his group’s innovations during the forum. Al Hallami, since establishing his company in 1986, has led Abu Dhabi in finding innovative solutions for electronic, mechanical and nautical dilemmas. His latest project is ‘Aqua Villa’ – an environment friendly floating villa equipped with solar energy to avoid the use of fossil fuel engines and uses his own modern technology to ensure excellent stability.

Meanwhile, Alsaloom, is a self-appointed cultural ambassador of the Middle East and is passionate about building global cultural bridges. His innovative ways ensure locals, residents, visitors and tourists of the UAE are equipped with the correct information about the heritage of the UAE and the Gulf region.

His TV show, ‘Ask Ali’, reaches thousand of viewers including his frequent columns in the weekly magazine ‘M’. Alsaloom’s mission of applying the experiences and best practices he learned abroad to improve Abu Dhabi’s burgeoning tourism industry prompted him to form his own communication company – Maestro Enterprises.

The Abu Dhabi Innovation Forum, to be held at the Shangri La Qaryat Al Beri Hotel in Abu Dhabi, will also bring regional and international speakers to Abu Dhabi to discuss and inform on the latest trends and best case examples on Innovation.
