Air Arabia Doubles Service To Dammam


- Low-cost carrier to provide additional 7 flights per week.- Services to operate twice daily starting January 17, 2010










In response to the growing demand for its services to Dammam, Air Arabia, the first and largest low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa, announced today that it will offer an additional seven flights per week to the bustling Saudi city during the early part of 2010.

Air Arabia currently provides roundtrip flights seven times a week between King Fahad International Airport in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia and its hub in Sharjah, as well as flying to Riyadh, Jeddah and Medina.

The Sharjah-based carrier will increase its flights to Dammam starting January 17, 2010. These flights will depart Sharjah daily at 8:00 AM and arrive in Dammam at 8:20 AM. Return flights will depart Dammam at 9:00 AM and arrive in Sharjah at 11:10 AM.

“Meeting the needs of our customers is Air Arabia’s highest priority,” said AK Nizar, Head of Commercial Department, Air Arabia. “We launched our services to Medina in September 2009, and we are proud to expand Air Arabia’s existing services to Damman. This step is focused on catering to our passengers’ needs by doubling flights to the vibrant coastal city.”

Located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, the provincial town of Dammam is renowned for its diverse population, picturesque coastline and vast trading history. Home to the largest port in the Arabian Gulf, Dammam is a popular business and leisure destination for travellers across the Gulf.
