Second Youth Forum Organized By Ministry Of Culture, Youth And Community Development Attracts Over 2,000 Students











 

The Second Youth Forum organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development at Sharjah University, received an extremely encouraging response with over 2,000 students from various universities participating in the event.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Governor of Sharjah, the forum featured a series of creative exhibits and publications in addition to a series of interactive sessions with leading community figures and presentations about UAE heritage and culture. It also featured many young leaders who have made contributions to Emirati society.

The Youth Forum is designed to raise awareness of community and culture among youngsters and foster a sense of pride in national heritage. This is in line with the strategic aims of the Ministry to promote creativity and enrich cultural exchange among the youth of the country. The Forum also aims to highlight examples of young leaders who have made impressive contributions and assumed senior leadership positions in UAE society.

The Forum started with a tour by HH Sheikh Sultan accompanied by Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development. This was followed by a presentation about UAE history.

Held in four sessions, the forum also highlighted the role played by personalities and institutions like the UAE Red Crescent, Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care, Dubai Bid, Supreme Council for Family Affairs and Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, Sharjah Islamic Bank, Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment, Sharjah Establishment "Ruwwad" in contributing to community and social development.
