Event Brings Together Over 200 Major Companies for Four Exhibitions and Two Summits Under One RoofHis Excellency Khalfan Saeed Juma Al Kaabi, First Vice-Chairman of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, today inaugurated the Arabian Construction Week (ACW) 2010, Abu Dhabi’s only dedicated construction exhibition and regional summits for sustainable and innovative construction that has brought together over 200 exhibitors. Organised by MECOM Forums/Clarion Events supported by MEED, Arabian Construction Week 2010 will serve as a perfect platform for companies to display a full range of green building solutions as well as innovative engineering products and services to thousands of buyers from across the Middle East and neighbouring regions. The three-day event covering over 8,000 sq metre area at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) features four exhibitions including the Green Building Middle East, Future-Build Middle East, Building Machinery Middle East and Civil Engineering Middle East. In addition, two regional summits – Arabian World Construction Summit (AWCS) and the Green Building Middle East Summit and Expo – will headline ACW 2010. Christopher Hudson, Managing Director of Mecom Forums, said: “The first of its kind event in the region, combining four trade exhibitions and two industry summits, brings together numerous industry leaders and policy makers. We are confident the event will serve as a crucial platform for key decision-makers to learn more about the latest innovations, and pave way for the industry to surge ahead on the growth path.” The Green Building Middle East at the Arabian Construction Week 2010 will showcase premium sustainable construction products, while Future-Build Middle East will serve as the first dedicated single-sourcing platform for latest technology and innovative construction projects. Civil Engineering Middle East, meanwhile, will showcase the latest products and solutions for major infrastructure and transport projects that are rapidly transforming the Middle East landscape. Building Machinery Middle East will bring together major industry brands and dealers to display cranes, excavators, heavy vehicles, machine tools, concrete, as well as waste and recycling equipment. The Arabian World Construction Summit (AWCS) as well as the Green Building Middle East Summit will witness international spokespersons analysing integral issues that currently face the region’s construction industry. In addition to the conference programme, the Arabian Construction Week will act as a pre-tender sourcing forum for the region’s existing and potential construction and infrastructure projects. It will also aim to work towards a better built environment for the cities of today and the future. Shell Lubricants and the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipal Affairs are the headline sponsors of Arabian Construction Week 2010 that also has Framecad, Green Precast Systems and Technologies LLC, and Commodore Steel Industries LLC as the gold sponsors.
