2nd Project Management Congress In Sharjah

Hamriyah Free Zone Authority head will discuss seven traits of good project managers

The 2nd Project Management Congress in Sharjah initiated by Hamriyah Free Zone Authority Director General and leading UAE national change leader Dr. Rashid Alleem will be held on Tuesday, June 22, at the Radisson Hotel Blu in Sharjah.

Dr. Alleem will be presenting successful project management best practices and case studies in the morning session and will further discuss the seven traits of good project managers in the afternoon session.

The Hamriyah Free Zone Authority head will be complemented by another UAE national, Abdulla Al-Kuwaiti, a program manager from the Abu Dhabi government, who will be discussing risk management in governmental projects.

Mr. Al-Kuwaiti is an RMP and PMP certified professional by the Project Management Institute (PMI) in the USA. He has written a book entitled “Risk Management Professional Exam” which is a study guide for the PMI.

Other prominent speakers lined up are Dr. Nagaraj Hedge, co-chairman of Gulf Eco-friendly Products Trading and Mazin E.A. Abusin, a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from the University of London.

“I personally feel that the recent crisis in the world economy is taking Project Management to a new level. Project management is evolving. The fundamental principles are fairly stable, but the knowledge of how to apply them continues to evolve,” explained Dr. Alleem during last year’s congress.

The 2nd Project Management Congress is being organized by the Alleem Knowledge Center (AKC), founded by Dr. Alleem in 2001 as a unique cross-cultural independent, not-for-profit source of state-of-the-art information of business management based in Sharjah.

Dr. Alleem is also the head of the Sharjah Department of Seaports and Customs. He is known in the UAE as a change leader and is an expert in the development of human potential and personal effectiveness.
