MoU aims to develop mechanisms for joint cooperation between both organisations

Bee’ah, The Sharjah Environment Company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sharjah Tatweer Forum.

The memorandum – signed today during a special ceremony at Bee’ahs Head Office in Sharjah – aims to develop mechanisms for joint cooperation between both organisations and lays the foundation to a strong working relationship that covers all areas of mutual interest, ultimately benefiting the Emirate of Sharjah.

The MoU was signed by Bee’ah’s General Manager, Khaled Huraimel and Chairman of the Sharjah Tatweer Forum, His Excellency Jassem Mohamed Al Beloushi.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Huraimel said: “The signing of this memorandum is a confirmation of the importance the Sharjah Tatweer Forum places on achieving sustainable development within the Emirate of Sharjah and maintaining a high-quality of life for residents of the emirate.”

He added: “It is an honour to sign this Memorandum with the Sharjah Tatweer Forum and Bee’ah looks forward to sharing the mutual benefits that will no doubt stem from it.”

His Excellency Al Beloushi said: "The signing of this MoU with Bee’ah is a timely and important step that will support the Sharjah Tatweer Forum’s policies as well as the Emirate of Sharjah’s environment.”

The signing of this MoU cements both parties’ commitment to Sharjah’s environment and reflects Bee’ah’s willingness to cooperate and consult with official organisations and bodies, communicate clearly with all segments of society, promote environmental awareness and provide world-class environmental services to the emirate and all its citizens.

The MoU’s key stipulations include: Mutual cooperation with regards to the organisation of conferences, workshops and lectures; joint work on waste management projects and the support of young entrepreneurs’ research; mutual work on the initiation and development of research studies and papers focusing on the creation of a healthier environment within the emirate; and the promotion of communication and consultation between both parties.

As a community partner Bee’ah believed that just by learning about the natural environment, individuals were already making a difference and displaying their environmental responsibility. Therefore Bee’ah would remain unwavering in its support of educational activities that help raise awareness about the environment.
