SCTDA Is Dedicated To Promote Emirate’s Tourism |

The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) continues to support various local activities taking place in the emirate throughout the year. The move is in line with the directives of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, with regard to the joint action and continuous communication between different government departments and bodies in the emirate with the aim of achieving growth and prosperity across various sectors. Mohammed A. Al Noman, SCTDA Director General, made this statement after the Authority was honored by the General Directorate of Sharjah Police in recognition of its constructive role and contribution to the success of the Friends of Police Course through lectures, debates and presentations given by SCTDA members during the course. "As part of its efforts to communicate with all government sectors and community groups in the emirate, the SCTDA in collaboration with Sharjah Police, recently organized a lecture entitled Tourism in Sharjah at the Sharjah Police Academy’s Theatre," Al Noman said. This lecture formed part of a series of educational and cultural lectures aimed at helping the attendees gain the necessary skills to become constructive members of society and to participate in the march of growth witnessed by the UAE. "Out of its belief in the importance of the Friends of Police Course, The SCTDA has been keen for several years now on supporting this course, which has become one of the most important courses offering an integrated portfolio of military, religious and cultural sciences," Al Noman said. The Authority has always been eager to provide a true reflection of the emirate’s tourist assets, he added. "The concept of the tourism industry is based on building a generation empowered with tourist culture to be able to promote the emirate in a proper manner that reflects the reality of the emirate’s tourism, which is now garnering the world’s attention," Al Noman said. "The SCTDA contributes to supporting and organizing over 30 local events in Sharjah throughout the year, and is dedicated to developing various local activities to promote the emirate’s tourist attractions and products, as well as the quality of services provided to tourists and residents alike". "The authority is also keen on taking part in social service-related activities by sponsoring various events in the emirate," Al Noman concluded. The SCTDA was honored by Sharjah Police at the graduation ceremony of Sharjah’s 23rd, and the Central Region’s fifth Friends of Police Course, which was held at the Police Academy’s Theatre in Sharjah. During the ceremony, SCTDA’s representatives were given certificates of appreciation and mementos by Colonel Abdullah Mubarak Al Dokhan, Deputy Director General of Sharjah Police, in the presence of heads of police departments and sections, parents of the graduate students and representatives of sponsoring companies.
