Sharjah Museums Department Announces Ramadan Timings











Sharjah Museums Department (SMD) announced today new timings for its office working hours and museum opening hours for its visitors during the Holy Month of Ramadan. This announcement aims at providing convenient access to all our valued visitors and customers during Ramadan.

The new working hours for SMD’s head offices are effective as of the first day of Ramadan from 8:30am to 1:30pm from Sunday to Thursday.

The morning timings for Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization, Sharjah Aquarium, Sharjah Maritime Museum, Sharjah Art Museum and Sharjah Museum for Arabic Contemporary Art will start from 9am to 2pm from Saturday to Thursday. The evening timings will run from 9 to 11pm from Saturday to Friday, except for Sharjah Aquarium that will be closed on Sunday. Sharjah Natural History and Botanical Museum will open its doors from Sunday to Thursday from 9:30am to 1:30pm, and is closed Tuesday and Friday

All remaining museums that include Bait Khalid bin Ibrahim, Majlis Al Midfaa, Al Eslah School Museum, Bait Al Naboodah, Sharjah Hisn, Al Mahatta Museum, Sharjah Calligraphy Museum, Sharjah Archaeology Museum, Sharjah Science Museum, Sharjah Discovery Centre, Sharjah Classic Car Museum, and Bait Sheikh Said Bin Hamad Al Qassimi (Kalba) will be open to visitor from Saturday to Thursday from 9am to 2pm. The aforementioned museums will be closed on Friday.
