Sharjah Museums Department Celebrates Eid Al Adha With Various Activities |

Museums will be closed on the first day of Eid, and open on the second and third days.Sharjah Museums Department (SMD) is organizing various activities for children and their families at the Sharjah Maritime Museum, Sharjah Science Museum and Sharjah Discovery Centre to mark the Eid Al Adha celebrations. The activities are part of SMD’s commitment to provide the best of entertainment for children and families, and to enhance awareness about Sharjah museums, which organize events and activities throughout the year. Manal Ataya, Director General of Sharjah Museums Department, said: “SMD continuously participates in festive occasions to partner in the celebratory mood that prevails across the nation. Through these activities, SMD aims to strengthen community solidarity, , and further enhance awareness on the UAE’s rich cultural heritage.” The activities at Sharjah Maritime Museum on the second day of Eid, and will include folk art shows, poetry evening with poet Rashid Sharar, competitions and others. Sharjah Science Museum will organize various activities for families and visitors during the second and third days of Eid. These include a flight display for children to teach them about the parts of a plane and how to fly it, laser shows, ice cream making with magic liquid nitrogen, handcrafts and contests for the family. Sharjah Discovery Center will also organise a number of activities on the second and third days of Eid, including a clown show, magician, compitition, and drawing and colouring activity for children. |
