Air Arabia Signs MoU With Sharjah City For Humanitarian Services

In line with its commitment towards serving its local community, Air Arabia, the first and largest low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS).

Under the terms of the agreement, the airline will provide support to those with physical and mental disabilities. This will include financial aid, wheelchair services at airports, specific seat allocations for disabled passengers, and special printing for the visually impaired and sign language.

“At SCHS, we strive towards changing society’s attitude and behaviour towards the disabled,” said Her Excellency Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qassimi, Vice President of the Supreme Council of Family Affairs in Sharjah and General Manager of SCHS. “We are extremely pleased that Air Arabia has chosen to support our cause by helping us to pave the way toward a brighter future for persons with disabilities within our society.”

“Sharjah City for Humanitarian services has contributed greatly to the welfare and development of our local community,” said Adel Ali, Group CEO and Board Member of Air Arabia. “Air Arabia looks forward to working with SCHS to provide support for persons with disabilities in our community, and we hope that our new partnership is able to positively impact those who most need our support.”

Through its flexible and comprehensive plans and its unyielding strategy, SCHS aims at providing education, care, training and rehabilitation to children and adults with disabilities, regardless of the level of disability yet within the limits that are allowed. It also aims at providing job opportunities for people with special needs. Considering the fact that their family is the ideal environment for them, SCHS provides families with guidance and counseling.
