Bee’ah Ranks 5th Most Socially Influential Environmental Brand In The Region

According to The UAE’s First Social Media Brand Index Report of Top 100 Brands for 2011, released earlier this month by Grafdom, Bee’ah placed 5th among regional counterparts as the most influential environmental brand on a social media level and ranked one of the top 100 most prominent corporate brands, individuals and events.

The report analyses in-depth the presence of corporate brands on the social media scene. The results were determined based on the number of followers on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, which were then aggregated into a combined score for the brand’s social media profile. To qualify, a brand must have maintained a position within the top five of its category, over an extended period of time, and be engaged in at least two social networks.

The study also revealed statistics that indicate 72% of social networkers in the UAE are currently active on Facebook with over 2,054,520 users, and Twitter was reported as having 36,841 users in the region. The top 100 brands had a cumulative following of 990,905.

Khaled Al Huraimel, Chief Executive Officer at Bee’ah commented, “Our significant ranking reflects the combined efforts of the marketing team at Bee’ah in their unremitting efforts to engage with the community on a social level. We would like extend our gratitude towards the environmental advocates and loyal followers whose support made this achievement possible. This study has proved to be an invaluable resource as we take strides to adapt our approach in the near future to become the leading example for our marketing methodology.”

Farid Gasim, Director of Operations, Grafdom commented, “The results reaffirm the role of social media in the corporate sector. Brands that were struggling in the past currently maintain a loyal following on social networks and are equipped to drive substantial business gains through it.”

“We found that organizations are allocating more resources towards marketing their brands on a social level and are committed to maintaining a sustained presence,” added Gasim.

In addition to this, Bee’ah has also been recognized for its environmental initiatives and educational programmes in a number of third party appraisals. These include partnership awards, corporate awards and appreciation awards; a few of which are the American University of Sharjah (AUS) Collaboration Award, in appreciation for Bee’ah’s support and success towards the various programmes organized with the institution; the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) Appreciation Awards for Bee’ah’s valued role in their initiatives; the University of Sharjah (UoS) Valued Participation Award; the Khalifa University Spokesperson of Choice Award; as well as the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) Valued Partner Award, among many others.
