In addition to its extensive range of retail, leisure and entertainment options, Sharjah City Centre has launched its new Mall Walkers program – in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Sharjah Medical District – providing residents and tourists alike with the opportunity to get fit and stay healthy; all in a climate controlled environment!
The program was inaugurated by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed. Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, in addition to over 50 officials and government representatives who were also in attendance. The initiative proves to be a free, fun and easy way to gain exercise, while allowing participants to progress at their own pace as they meet and mingle with like-minded people.
Sharjah City Centre Snr. Mall Manager Anna Mansour confirms, “The new Mall Walkers program is a unique and free initiative promoting health and fitness to the residents of Sharjah who wish to either maintain or increase fitness levels in a safe, climate controlled setting. It is also a great way to meet new, like-minded people in the community. A special thanks to Carrefour for providing water to each walker, Nutrition Zone for providing the walking demonstration, supplements and nutritional advice, as well as The Body Shop for providing complimentary goodie bags,”
The Mall Walkers program takes place six days a week – every Sunday through Friday, from 8am to 9a.m
