SEHA "Mas’aool" Community Town Hall Initiative Welcomes 455 Patients At Its First Meetings |

The Move Provides A Good Opportunity For Patients And Families To Meet SEHA Decision MakersIn line with the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company PJSC’s (SEHA) commitment to enhance community outreach, its healthcare facilities simultaneously organized their first quarterly town hall meetings yesterday (13/9/2011) to solicit stakeholder and patient feedback. The meetings were held in an informal setting at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), Corniche Hospital, Al Rahba Hospital, Mafraq Hospital, Tawam Hospital, Al Ain Hospital., the Al Gharbia Hospitals group also also organized meetings at Ghayathi Hospital, Al Sela Hospital, and Dalma Hospital. The Ambulatory Healthcare Services including Khalifa A Health Centre, Bain Al Jesrain Health Centre, Al Samha Health Centre, Al Shahama Health Centre, Al Muwaiji Health Clinic, Al Haili Health Clinic, Al Zakher Health Clinic, Al Nidayat Health Clinic, Al Qoua Health Clinic, Swaihan Health Clinic and Remah Health Clinic were also involved in organizing town hall meetings. The meetings gave patients and their families a chance to interact directly with SEHA and its facilities’ decision makers to apprise them of feedback and opinions on the healthcare received. “The launch of the “Mas’aool” community town hall initiative is a reflection of the confidence we have in the services we are providing, and a desire to develop them further through community feedback. Our aim is to listen to our patients as we all take responsibility to improve healthcare quality in the Emirates,” said Saif Bader Al Qubaisi, Chairman of SEHA. “We hope that this initiative will be bring about an informal yet highly valuable exchange of views between hospital administrators and patients and their families”. George Jepson, CEO, Al Ain Hospital, lauded the initiative. “Al Ain Hospital is part of the SEHA HealthSystem and this initiative offers an opportunity to listen to our patients the society as a whole, which will help in improving customer care to meet Abu Dhabi’s needs, in line with our commitment to deliver world class healthcare,” he said. “These town hall meetings will have a significant impact in improving and developing services provided to patients to meet their needs through an informal setting, which allow patients and their families to interact directly with SEHA and its facilities’ decision makers, to develop a model of excellent healthcare based on their feedback and opinion”, said Hal Chilton, Acting CEO Mafraq hospital. “This initiative furthers our collective efforts to increase public awareness and encourage society to actively participate and offer feedback and make requests, in order to improve the quality of the services they are receiving.
