The Art & Educational Center at Sharjah Ladies Club is ready to commence its Youth Leadership Program “YouLeap”, recognized as a comprehensive and unique program that aims to refine and develop leadership skills in the young, aged 10 to 18 years old. The program will be running every Saturday morning, and Tuesdays and Thursdays in the afternoon.
“YouLeap” program is divided into two independent levels. The Flyer level, targeting 10 to13 year olds and the High-Flyer level, targeting 14 to18 year olds. Both levels are structured to assist girls in learning through practical, written and oral techniques. The program is set to develop and improve students with weak Arabic and English efficiency. Courses will be taught by experienced supervisors in both languages in separate classrooms. Materials including the course book, parents’ book, games, arts and crafts will be provided to the registered young.
YouLeap works especially well in pitching the road for children with low self-esteem, and enhancing self-confidence in them. Moreover, the program is specially set to help youngsters into becoming more active and productive in their daily lives. In addition, it aims to develop leadership potentials in students, as well as provide students with leadership skills that will enable them to act responsibly in their lives.
“Youth Leadership Program is one of a kind in that it helps young people to be active and productive members within their communities.
It aims to develop leadership skills by using fun and practical exercises, whether in groups or individuals, in a form that suits everyone regardless of language or lack of knowledge or confidence. Successful results have been proven after implementing the intensive program in different schools and educational centers in the UAE. The program will be executed in association with Knowledge Horizon, and we are proud to be the first center that facilitates the program in the Emirate of Sharjah. This program is validated by University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), and the program has been officially validated by the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM).” said Sara Al Marzouqi, Art & Educational Center Manager.
Adding to that, Al Marzouqi said: “Course days and timings are flexible, and qualified instructors will be supervising the program. We hope to provide an experience of transformation that is fun and exciting for young people”.
It is worthy to mention that the Art & Educational Center is the first center to hold the Youth Leadership Program in Sharjah. Courses will run 3 days a week during hours that suit the official school timings in the UAE. YouLeap courses will be conducted by experienced supervisors in Arabic and English. Registration is open for girls aged 10 to 18 years old.
