Intl School Of Creative Science (ISCS), Sharjah Students Go From Strength To Strength!

The 2010-2011 GCE/IGCSE results have once again put ISCS amongst the top education providers in the UAE. The summer 2011 IGCSE results showed a remarkable increase in the A* - C pass rate of ISCS students from 85.9% in 2010 to 93.1% in 2011, compared with UK counterparts who achieved an A* - C pass rate of 69.8%.

Mr Walid Ramadan, the Principal of ISCS said “We are extremely proud of the team work between parents, staff and students that has resulted in an outstanding set of results once again. It is an incredible achievement to maintain exceptionally high standards in both the UK curriculum subjects as well as in the UAE Ministry curriculum subjects. An impressive 54% of our IGCSE grades were at A* - A this year compared with 23.2% achieved by students in the UK.”

Mr Walid Ramadan added, “This year’s results have clearly shown once again that not only does ISCS provide top class education in both the UK and UAE curricula but, if you compare our tuition fees with other schools whose exam results compare with our results, then it is clear that ISCS is also very good value for money.”

100% A* - C pass rate was achieved by ISCS students in Maths, English Literature and Arabic 2nd Language, 98% A* - C pass rate in Physics and Biology. Corresponding A* - C pass rates for other subjects included 96% in
Arabic 1st Language and Chemistry, ESL (94%) and English 1st Language (93%).

ISCS, already firmly established as one of the most successful dual curriculum schools in the region, has again demonstrated its successes not just at IGCSE but also at the higher levels of learning, namely in the GCE AS and A2 qualifications.

Several Year 12 students achieved at least 3 grade A’s in the subjects they chose to study at AS Level. In Year 13,
100% A* - C pass rate was achieved in Maths, Arabic, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Several of the Year 13 students achieved the newly introduced A* grade with 90% of the A2 grades achieved at A* - B. The 2011 Sixth Form cohort at ISCS have joined universities both locally and internationally with all the Year 13 students securing places at top universities in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, UK, US, Canada and Pakistan.

In the words of the Chairman of ISCS, Mr Salah Bukhatir: “We are fully committed to striving for excellence so that the ISCS students of today become outstanding leaders of tomorrow.”

The IGCSE/GCE results of June 2011 have again illustrated the successes of ISCS, a school that is clearly established on a path of “Excellence Rooted in Values.”
