Bee’ah Announces Opening Of The Region’s First Environmental Visitor & Learning Center In Sharjah


The Project Will House Conference And Education Areas At Bee’ah’s Waste Management Complex In Al Saj’ah










Bee’ah – the Middle East’s leading integrated and award winning environmental and waste management company – is set to build the region’s first Environmental Visitor & Learning Center at its Waste Management Complex in Al Saj’ah, Sharjah.

Combining the highest standards of modern architecture with the latest energy-efficient technology, the new, modern, state-of-the-art visitor center is designed by LW Design Group and will extend from the present Material Recovery Facility (MRF).

The center will house a permanent auditorium which seats 100 people and will enable visitors to learn about Bee’ah’s environmental and waste management sustainable solutions. The center will also feature conference rooms, an educational area for school students of all ages, a changing exhibition area demonstrating crafts and works of art from the Bee’ah School of Environment students and a café.

The building will be using sustainable and energy-efficient standards and materials. Clear panels designed to blend in with the roof tiles, will allow for natural light to fall through, reducing the need for power. Recycled water will be utilized throughout the building, and recycled and natural materials will be used throughout the interior design of the center, wherever possible.

The project comes in line with Bee’ah’s mandate which is to educate the community and spread environmental awareness at all levels of society to create a sustainable environment, and serves to host a large array of visitors from schools and institutions, to witness one of Sharjah’s biggest achievements in the waste management and environmental industry.

The new proposed architectural rendering of the visitor center were displayed on the final day of the Green Middle East exhibition which saw an estimated of over 1,000 visitors who came to witness the unveiling of Bee’ah’s new development plans.
