Construction Around The World Of A Network Of Stained-Glass "Lighthouses Of Peace" |

A proposed International Project referred to as Lighthouses of Peace and/or Manarat al Islam was unveiled today. It consists of building a network of 12 TALL TOWERS around the world symbolizing the “Enlighten Path of Islam” and its message of Tolerance and Peace! “These Towers of Lights Peace and Hope, the tallest ever (taller than the Eiffel Tower of Paris), will be made ENTIRELY of Stained-Glass laminated over Islamic graphic designs, and in the traditional Islamic colors” revealed Jacques Duval, its world renowned Stained-Glass Designers. “Brightly illuminated, these towers and beacons of lights shall be visible DAY OR NIGHT over hundreds of kilometres radius” added Roger Melka, one of the main Conceptors of the Project. It is believed that almost a thousand years after Europe’s great Cathedrals, it’s now Islam’s turn to build worldwide a series of Monuments symbolizing Islam’s leading mission. According to the latest 2009 statistics, Islam represents almost one-third of the entire world population. “The Lighthouses of Peace monuments shall be located alongside the world’s busiest shipping lanes, claiming Islam Tolerant presence around the globe and its active participation in world’s affairs” said Roger Melka who also added, “These Lighthouses of Peace, entirely in Glass, will also show to the entire world the true Peaceful Face of Islam and its commitment to a harmonious co-existence and friendlier world for all”. Asked about a timetable, Roger said, “Negotiations are underway aimed at determining a time table of construction and their initial locations, but in the meantime” he said, “we invite business leaders, officials, potential partners and sponsors to contact us”. |
