Bin Sulayem:Gitexenhances innovation accross government sector |

Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation “PCFC” concluded its participation in Gitex Technology with a visit of a delegation from Ports, Customs & Free Zones Corporation headed by Sultan bin Sulayem, DP World Group Chairman & CEO and Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) visited Gitex Technology 2017. The delegation was briefed on the most advanced technologies and practices showcased in the international exhibition. Bin Sulayem toured PCFC’s stand in the exhibition and viewed the initiatives and projects submitted by the Corporation’s entities (DP World and JAFZA – Dubai Customs, Dubai Maritime City Authority, Department of Planning and Development – Trakhees, Dubai Trade, Dubai World Customs). The delegation included Mahmoud Al Bastaki, CEO of Dubai Trade, Ahmed Abdul Salam Kazim, Director of Strategy and Corporate Excellence at Dubai Customs, Shuaib Al Suwaidi, Director of Intelligence Department at Dubai Customs, Younis Othman, IT Director at Dubai Customs, and Majid Al Awadhi, Manager of Marketing of DP World. They toured the exhibition and stood at a number of stands including RTA’s stand where they were briefed on the Flying Taxi Initiative. The delegation then visited the stands of Dubai Police, Department of Economic Development and smart Dubai Government and learnt about their latest projects and initiatives. Bin Sulayem pointed out that big events like Gitex Technology encourage innovation and urge government departments to provide smart and advanced services to its clients in support of Dubai initiative to become the smartest city in the world. He added: “PCFC supports Dubai in its quest to maintain its leading position worldwide by adopting the latest practices and innovating new technologies and services”. The stand of Ports, Customs & Free Zones Corporation (PCFC) at Gitex Technology exhibition received also a delegation from the Federal Customs Authority that included Ali Al Kaabi, Head of the Federal Customs Authority, and Juma Nasser Buossaiba, Director-General of the UAE Federal Customs. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs briefed the visitors about PCFC’s participation and its initiatives and projects. |
