Coinciding with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai’s launch of the Dubai Cyber Security Strategy last June, Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC) has launched the strategy website, which can be accessed at http://desc.dubai.ae
This step reflects Dubai's keenness to reach the highest levels of global electronic protection. The development of the Internet and cyberspace has had a tremendous impact on the various sectors of society, from public and private sectors to individuals. However, a secure cyberspace is the only way to ensure the safety and security of all users.
Hence, a strategic plan has been put in place to ensure the launch of a secure electronic space that promotes safe use of information by all parties. DESC has initiated standard comparisons and analysis of cyber security strategies in several countries to arrive at a plan that ensures the overall objectives and integration of elements.
The website includes the principles of the strategy, which covers compliance with regulations, free flow of information, collaboration, and consideration of risk. In addition to the five strategy domains and the overall framework of the Strategic Plan.
