Emirates Group Security, a multi-dimensional and highly versatile firm that designs, develops and distributes security and safety measures across the Emirates network, has announced that it will host the global aviation security symposium in Dubai, between 8th to 10th October 2017.
Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, the third edition of the AVSEC event will gather some of the foremost and leading experts in the industry.
In addition to an exhibition, the symposium will also feature the International Awards of Excellence in Aviation Security, which will recognise and praise outstanding performance and achievements in the global aviation security industry.
The 2017 edition of the AVSEC global symposium will be themed ‘Ahead of Tomorrow’, showing a great focus being devoted to the ideas and innovations that veterans hope will drive the industry in the future.
The symposium is slated to bring together some of the most prominent industry leaders in global security to discuss critical security challenges of the future including Sir Tim Clark, president, Emirates Airline and Khoo Boon Hui, former president of Interpol. The conference will be inaugurated by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed.
Dr. Abdullah Al Hashimi, divisional senior vice president, Emirates Group Security, said, "From its start in 2013, the AVSEC Global Symposium has become a significant event globally in aviation security. As a platform, the AVSEC Global symposium allows high level decision makers airlines, government, airport operators, regulators and the cargo industry to come together to share ideas and best practices resulting in measurable improvements in global aviation security."
