||||||||||||
Etihad Museum recently welcomed a delegation of tourism sector buyers and tour operators. The delegates were in Dubai for Arabian Travel Market (ATM), which ran from the 24th to 27th April, and were hosted as part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to promote Dubai as a world-class tourist destination. The delegates came from across the globe, including representatives from North America, Europe, Central Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the Far East, China, India and Pakistan, and enjoyed a full tour of the Etihad Museum’s extensive exhibitions and iconic spaces, including the historical Union House and Guest House buildings. The Etihad Museum tells the story of the 1971 Union Agreement through the eyes of the Founding Fathers, giving visitors valuable human insights into this pivotal era of UAE history. The museum is one of the UAE’s most important cultural and national touristic landmarks; by celebrating the dedication, commitment and patriotism of the Founding Fathers, it invites individuals from all walks of life to follow their shining example in nation building. Dubai Culture strives to share the UAE’s rich history with visitors, residents alike and official delegations to give them a memorable experience at the Etihad Museum, which also complements ATM by bringing the Etihad Museum to life for the delegates, raising awareness of the many touristic attractions the United Arab Emirates can offer to target and source markets around the world, and leaving them with a lasting and positive impression of Dubai.
