DEWA launches Innovators Series to develop its human resources and instil a culture of innovation |

DEWA announced the launch of a new project titled ‘Innovators Series’, as part of efforts to develop the abilities of human resources, to instil a culture of creativity and innovation and improve government work in all fields. The project focuses on the innovative ideas put forward by employees, to encourage their continued excellence, in all fields. The project began its implementation phase with the DEWA Innovators campaign, through which 31 employees contributed towards enhancing DEWA’s creativity and level of innovation, to shape the future. The project includes the release of short videos about DEWA’s creative employees. Focusing on the innovators’ journey and their positive motivations, the videos will shed light on the innovators and introduce them to a large audience, while bringing their stories to life. “The principles of knowledge and creativity stand as the foundation of DEWA’s strategy. DEWA is committed to providing a stimulating work environment capable of instilling a culture of creativity and innovation. These two elements are fundamental in the development of the services we provide to customers. They also effectively contribute to raising the efficiency and performance of the government, in adherence with DEWA’s strategic plan to shape the future and achieve the happiness of customers, in line with the directives of the wise leadership,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA. “His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, taught us that innovation is not an option, it is a necessity, it is not general culture, it is a lifestyle needed to keep pace with the world around us, and requires innovative staff and a supportive environment. We adopt an integrated approach towards encouraging and applying creative ideas, proposals, and research programmes in various fields of energy and strategic management, as we realise the importance of providing the necessary tools to improve competitiveness, creativity, and innovation, to support our vision to become a sustainable innovative world-class utility,” added Al Tayer. This project supports our belief in the importance of recognising innovators, who are fundamental elements in DEWA’s journey towards success and excellence. While there is a large focus on our new projects and innovative initiatives, we aim to recognise and appreciate the creative minds at DEWA through this initiative. We believe that no innovative idea can be implemented without recognising the creative minds behind the ideas. Through this project, we aim to instil a culture of innovation, while motivating employees to unleash their full potential. We are confident that this will have a positive effect on all employees in their respective areas of work.
