In the Abu Dhabi 2030 Vision, the government has clearly identified the need to develop a highly skilled and highly productive work force. Federal and local government entities have launched several nationalization initiatives designed to provide skills training and mentorship programs to nationals. With recent development and the prominence of Absher, an initiative launched under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and led by the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, enhancing the role of UAE nationals in the private sector has emerged as a key priority in the UAE.

The Academy, which is privately funded by shareholders, plans on expansion across the UAE and region in the coming years.
