Expo Centre Sharjah Concludes Successful Participation In ’World Travel Market’ Show (WTM) In London |

The Expo Centre Sharjah has concluded its successful participation in the ‘World Travel Market’ (WTM) show in London which was held from 4 – 6 November as part of the Sharjah delegation headed by Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Development Authority. The Centre’s participation aimed at promoting the economic, cultural, and touristic events the Centre organizes and hosts throughout the year. Represented by Mohammad Al Mazrouei Director Venue Management and Sultan Ahmed Al Bah P.R Assistant, the Expo Centre delegation held a series of meetings with the participating bodies to examine the potential of organizing their events in the Emirate of Sharjah, thanks to its diverse qualities, infrastructure, and integrated experiences which place the Emirate of Sharjah as a preferred destination to the major international exhibitions and conferences. The delegation also shed light on the support packages provided by Expo Centre to the exhibitors in the various events. Highlighting Sharjah’s Advantages “The World Travel Market show in London is one of the leading exhibitions and platforms for the most renowned travel agencies around the world. A number of decision-makers and officials from various vital sectors such as aviation, airports, tourism sectors and other government bodies are taking part in this annual event. Hence the importance of our participation to pursue our ongoing efforts to promote Conference and Exhibition Tourism Programs in Sharjah and to introduce our initiatives aiming to provide a holistic vision of Sharjah's unique position on the map of the world’s pioneering exhibitions industry,” said HE Saif Mohamed Jasim Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah. He added: “Through our participation, we held a number of expanded meetings with a number of major institutions around the world with the aim of deepening mutual cooperation and coordination and establishing new partnerships by showcasing the up-to-date facilities, services and produces provided by the Expo Centre Sharjah.” Additionally, a particular emphasis was placed on the Emirate of Sharjah’s advantages in terms of occupying a prominent position in the business tourism sector and enjoying global attention and appreciation thanks to its diverse qualities. This comes as part of the joint efforts exerted by Sharjah’s various institutions to highlight the tourism sector in the Emirate and enhance its international presence. The World Travel Market, which is held annually in London, is the leading global travel trade show, and a forum for those interested in these economic sectors. It is also a perfect opportunity to hold meetings, expand the network of relations, and discuss ways to enhance the various aspects of cooperation between representatives of participating countries. |
