Countries With Confirmed Coronavirus Cases











More than 6 600 people have died due to coronavirus while 168 000 coronavirus cases have been reported worldwide.

The virus which is also known as COVID-19 has been confirmed in 140 countries.

Here are some of the countries that have confirmed cases to date.

Italy

Italy reported 368 new deaths making its total death toll 1 809. The number of confirmed cases in the country has reached 24 747, up from 21 157.

France

The death toll is now 148 while more than 6 633 have been infected. France has deployed its police force to enforce a lockdown in the fight against the virus.

Egypt

There are two recent deaths bringing the total deaths to four and 40 new cases in the country. The two were elderly people aged 72 and 50.

Ireland

Ireland has 169 confirmed cases. Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar predicted that the country would have 15 000 cases by the end of March.

United States of America

According to the CDC, The USA has a total of 3 487 cases of coronavirus and a total of 68 deaths.

China

The first confirmed case of COVID-19 was in China and to date the country has recorded 80 981 confirmed cases. 3173 deaths have also been recorded.

893 patients have been discharged after they recovered from the virus in Hubei province.

Dominican Republic

Dominican Republic has recorded its first death and 10 new infections bringing the total number of infections to 21.

Poland

Poland 156 confirmed cases. This includes the country’s environment minister Michal Wos who tested positive for the virus.

Germany

Germany recorded 1 100 new cases in one day bringing the total number of cases to 6, 012. The country has a total of 13 deaths.

Russia

The country currently has 93 cases of COVID-19. Foreign nationals have been banned from entering the country until May in an effort to try and stop the virus from spreading.

India 

India has reported 114 cases of COVID-19 and two deaths.
