Leadership Congress For Business Community In Sharjah

Sharjah Department of Seaports and Customs and Hamriyah Free Zone Authority head Dr. Rashid Alleem to share his leadership secrets and best practices

Hamriyah Free Zone Authority Director General Dr. Rashid Alleem will share his best leadership philosophies before participants at the 1st Leadership Congress this Wednesday, January 27, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Sharjah.

The event will be the first of the series of congresses lined up by Alleem Knowledge Center (AKC) this year. AKC is a unique cross-cultural independent, not-for-profit source of state-of-the-art information of business management based in Sharjah.

Last October, AKC organized a marketing and branding congress where Dr. Alleem urged the participants to resist the temptation to cut the marketing spending during a downturn.

Having a marketing and branding strategy is one of Dr. Alleem’s beliefs which make a strong business organization. “Marketing has become a must now, after the credit crunch,” he explained.

“I will also be sharing my other secrets of leadership success of winning in a changing world. I am therefore looking forward to interacting with corporate and government decision-makers, senior managers, project developers, civic leaders, including journalists,” he added.

Dr. Alleem is also the Director General of the Sharjah Department of Seaports and Customs. He is known in the UAE as a “change leader” and is an expert in the development of human potential and personal effectiveness.

Dr. Alleem further said that Ashutosh Gupta of BSNL India has been invited to discuss creative leadership. Ashutosh has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Masters in Computer Science and PG from IIM Ahmedabad with specialization in Public Management and Policy.

Two project managers from the Dubai Government Executive Council have also been invited to share their experiences in organizational leadership, specifically in customer service.
